Background

I grew up in a small Mississippi River town where my family farmed and my graduating class had about thirty people. That shaped how I see the world — neighbors matter, hard work matters, and you don't need to make things complicated when simple and honest will do.

I've spent sixteen years in sales and management — listening, solving problems under pressure, and being accountable for outcomes. I was raised with Sunday morning church, and that shaped a belief I've carried ever since: how you treat people, especially when it's inconvenient, is what actually defines your character.

My partner is a CNA finishing nursing school. We're raising three boys, including a child with developmental disabilities — which has given us a firsthand education in navigating complex systems and fighting for the right outcome when the system falls short.

Why I'm Running

When my son was restrained five times in second grade with no accountability from the school, we didn't just accept it. We contacted an advocacy group, an investigation was initiated, and real changes followed — a stronger IEP, a dedicated paraprofessional, and administrative changes in the district.

That experience confirmed what management taught me: when institutions know someone is watching, asking the right questions, and refusing to let it go — they respond.

That's what I want to do for House District 95.

Party

I'm running as a Democrat — and I'll be straightforward about that. What I won't do is put party before people. This district deserves someone who shows up, listens, and works on practical solutions. That's the job.
